A large old bible was recently donated for display at our church in Neutral, Cherokee County, Kansas. The bible belonged to Mrs. Mary T Maddux- many mementos were pressed between the pages. Included are 2 pages that have been removed from another bible, which I presume belonged to the Braman family. Births, deaths and marriages covering a span from 1815 to 1928 of 39 various Braman, Chubb, Kitch, Sizemore, Dollation(sp?), Ellrod and Embry family members are noted. Locations mentioned are Westport, Essex and Lewis- New York, Hoylton- Illinois, Neutral and Baxter Springs- Kansas, Centralia-?, and Commerce- OK.
If this information would benefit you, the pages could be copied for your records. A donation to our church to cover the expense of copies and postage would be appreciated.
