My father, Robert Brakeman, was born in or around Erie, PA in 1910. He passed away in 1972. He grew up in an orphanage (Odd Fellows Home)in Meadville, PA and attended Allegheny College.
He was a great guy but never talked much about his childhood.
I was hoping someone in this forum might have knowledge about his early years and what happened to his parents that required him to be placed in the orphanage.
