Hello again, Matt --
Clarification: Didn't mean to sound misleading. I don't have specific info on Walter Lee Brakefield or Broderick Brakefield. I got detailed info on Brakefield family history from Mike Scoggins. But I am in touch with a couple of Alabama Brakefields and am currently exploring that branch of our family history. So . . . I'm on a similar path of learning as you right now. There are many Brakefields in Birmingham.

Several Brakefields left SC in the 1850's and settled in AL. My Brakefields were part of that SC exodus. Perhaps yours were, too?
