I live in the Tacoma area in WA. I'm an Alabama Brakefield who was adopted out as an infant and have just discovered my Brakefield roots over this last year. I have all kinda of info I can share with you! And, what I don't know, I know who to refer you to for help. There are volumes of Brakefield info out there to be had---as several Brakefields are writers and one, in particular (Michael Brakefield Scoggins), is an historian . . .and my cousin, it turns out.
