My family runs throught John Brakefield a brother of David's. This is the information I have on David which came off the census. The name of the four sons are Elias S.(born 1859), Clark (born 1861), William (born 1864) and Francis (born 1868). You can find David and his family on the 1860 Census (Green Twp., Fayette Co., Ohio), 1870 census (Union twp., Fayette Co., Ohio). David got remarried before the 1880 census. He married a Mary E. which he had one child, Harry (born July 1876). The reason I say he got remarried is on the 1880 census (Dist 51.,Union twp., Fayette Co., Ohio) he has stepchildren along with his some of his children from the first marriage.
David is also on the 1900 Census (Dist 127, Penn Twp., Highland Co., Ohio) with his wife Mary, his son Harry, Harry's wife May (born sept 1877) and Harry's twin boys Darrol D.(born jan 1899) and Carrol W. (jan 1899).
