Catherine Brakefield was my gg Aunt. I have just now begun working on that line. She was b. 1775 Craig's Creek, VA died Feb.14,1852 in Hickman Co. TN. Married Hugh Cooper abt 1790 in Chester Co., SC. He was son of Robt Cooper and Jane Hamilton. Their children were: David P. Anderson, b abt 179l, m. Mary ****; Elizabeth, b. abt 1794; Sidney Ann, b. abt 1796, m. Squire Hunt; Jane Hamilton, b. 1797, m. Daniel K. McCord; Theresa Patton, b. abt 1802, m. George Hunt; James Jacob,b abt 1804; Robert Smith Brakefield, b. 1807; Mary Polly, b abt 1810, m. Gideon B. Polk
