Hi John:
I have a Ralph (Ralf) Brake in my tree!! Born in 1645 in Yetminster, Dorset, England. Had 6 children, one of which was named Radolphus (Ralf), born in 1681. In my line I have no Edwards!! Have you seen an article entitled "Yetminster and Beyond" for in it there is a chapter entitled The Brake Family and it discusses in some detail the Brakes that settled in Newfoundland in 1772. Let me know if I can help out in some way even though I think we are different branches.
Patti
