While the name BRAKE does not exist in Knox Co., IN., their are three families MEMERING, SIEVERS, and OLDIGES(all sisters, so other names continue) in Knox that are descendant from the same BRAKE ancestor in Esterwegen, Osnabruekerland, Germany (old kingdom of Hanover). Could this be of any help! I will
check my Esterwegen notes to see if there is a BURLAGER family (or did they marry in the USA).
