My ggrandfather,Jacob Brake Rude, had an uncle that had a Jacob Brake b abt 1824, living with him listed in the 1840 Lewis Co. census. He had another Rude uncle that married Pertamia Brake b. abt 1826. He also had another uncle named See Rude. They all left Lewis Co. abt 1845 and moved to Edwards Co., IL. Is there any one researching the Brake family of Lewis Co, VA that can give me a clue as to the connections other than friends or neighbors. Thankyou.
