Seeking parents and family of Elizabeth BRAKE who, according to 1870 Whiteside Co., IL census, was born circa 1846 in Ohio. The earliest record found so far is the 1866 Champaign Co., IL marriage record to Abraham HILLSBERRY. I have not been able to find them on the 1880 census but they were in Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory by 1890 when Abe applied for pension. Elizabeth's nicknames were given as Libbie and Lizzie. She died 1890 in Pickens Co., Chickasaw Nation. Her known children were: Clara, Henry, Charles, James William, and Amanda. It is possible that Elizabeth was born in IL. She may be related to Perry WILLIAMS and his wife Martha (JACKSON) of OH or they were just close and long-time friends. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!
