Tim,
What area are your Brake's from? Do any of these Brake's ring any bells? I am looking for AJ's parents names or siblings in that time it was unusual to be an only child. Any info would be great! (my brickwall).
A. J. Brake 1832-1897 approx born in TN, later lived in KY from about 1870 to the time of his death. On documents he was called Jim. 1st marriage to Lavine R. Tyrer in TN 1859. 2nd marriage to M. Caroline Dockrey in KY 1870.
J. W. Brake 1864-not known born in TN, on documents his name was John Wesley. AJ's son, later I believe he went back to TN from KY.
Rose E. Brake 1866-not known born TN, on documents her middle name has been spelled Emmer, Roseanna or Rosetta. AJ's daughter by 1st marriage.
Lewis Lee Brake 1873-1912/1914 born in KY, died in KY. AJ's son by 2nd marriage.
Cordelia Bell Brake 1875-1954 born & died in KY. AJ's daughter from 2nd marriage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and would share what I have. Thank you so much.
