Cindy, I have Robert Burns Brake 1877-1935 1st marriage to Lena J. Rodgers 1883-1935 one son Jesse Marion 1898-? married to Edith Wulf. Second marriage to Josie Smith one son Luther B. 1900-? and daughter Mattie Lou 1903-?. Robert Burns parents were Marion Winfield Scott Brake 1852-1936 and Davie Ann Rushing 1853-? In addition to Robert Burns they had Caledonia 1876-1916, Alan 1879-?, Joseph Lawrence 1883-1971, Mary Alice 1888-1979, Benjamin Franklin 1888-?, and Carrie L. 1889-1935. Marion W.S. Brake parents were Randal 1823-1852 and Catherine Brake 1830-1854. Randals parents were James 1766 Edgecombe Co., NC-1850 Stewart Co., TN and Phoebe Mooreland 1775-1850. James parents were Jacob abt. 1728-abt.1796 and unknown. Jacob is buried in the Brake Cemetery located near Rocky Mount, Edgecombe Co., NC. I hope this is helpful in your research efforts.
