From "Bible Records of Early Edgecomb County" by Williams page 28 Early Brake Family Record In the will of Jacob Brake,Sr. probated Aug. 1830, W.BK?, pg 118, he names wife, Morning and children Winnefred Jackson and Jacob Brake and the children of Jacob: Benjamin, Spencer, Josiah, James, Amos and Absala Brake. Another legatee is Andrew C. Jackson, son of Elisha Jackson (perhaps the husband of Winnefred). In the will of Griggre Stallions (Gregory Stallings) probated May 1790, he mentions a dau., Absle (Absala) Brake and names Jacob Brake, Executor. Absala Stallings was probably first wife of Jacob Brake and Morning ___, the second wife. In the will of Jesse Price, probated Nov. 1812 w. BK ?, page 47, he mentions wife Patience, and deceased dau., Patience Brake, dau. Charity Price and sons, Joel and Jonathan. In the will of Charity Price, probated May 1826 w. BK? p. 55, she mentions "heirs of Jesse Brake and Patience. Rachel, Willie, Joseph, William and Penia Brake." In fact she leaves her entire estate to these five Brake children. The above was typed just as is printed in this book except for will book #'s which I can not read. I hope this will help you. Pat
