That's the right Edward. I know a fair bit about his family (children) but I can't connect this Edward to a previous generation.
I assume that his father was a son of Ralph.
According to the 1921 cencus, Edward was born at Humbermouth in 1840 which may narrow the potential fathers down abit. Do you have any info about Brakes at Humbermouth or any suggestions regarding my detective work? (I have looked through much, if not all, of the web site info.)
