Florence Bradstreet, 96, of Battle Creek, and formerly of Climax where she had lived for 48 years, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Driftwood Estates. Florence was born September 4, 1907, in Newton TTownship, the daughter of Edward & Frances (Damon) Roatch. She was employed at Kellogg Company for 27 years, retiring in 1972, she was also employed at Detroit Waste Works and Post Cereals. Florence was formerly a member of Newton United Methodist Church and a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Her hobbies were growing flowers, traveling, bingo and her casino trips with family and friends. Florence married Leo J. Bradstreet and he preceded her in death in 1970. She is survived by daughters: Mrs. Vera Case, Mrs. Kenneth (Leta) Hynes, Ms. Emma Hoskin of Battle Creek, Mrs. Dave (Linda) Tramel of Climax, Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) Laing of Manistique; sons, Leo "Jim" Bradstreet of Battle Creek and John David of Evart, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her husband, daughters, Lee Ella Ashley and Lois Jean, son, and William Russell Bradstreet. At the request of the family, friends may call the Farley-Estes & Dowdle Funeral Home Wednesday where family will be present from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor C. Edward Knauss officiating, followed by interment at Morgan Cemetery.
