1880 Jefferson Co. Missouri Census, DeSoto (Valle Township): Charles Bradfield is listed as a 55 yr. old farmer, born in SC, as were his parents; wife Eliza, 43; Lee, 13 (works on farm); Mary, 7; and Theodore, 3. Family is # 32 and found on reprint page 86. (According to Family History Film, it is Plattin Township, p. 41D) Son Sammy is enumerated elsewhere.
Charles R.Bradfield, George Bradfield, Delia Bradfield, and Dr. Lee T. Bradfield were siblings. Parents were William Bradfield and Mary Ann King of Staunton, Augusta Co., Virginia.
Louis T. Cosby, William D. Cosby, and Vincent Tapp Cosby, Jr. were their cousins. Their sister (?) Cornelia Cosby married Dr. Francis Asbury Brickey. Their mother was Sarah King Cosby.
The widowed Mary Anne King Bradfield married Dr. Samuel Skeel of Jefferson Co., MO. After her death, he married her widowed sister, Sarah King Cosby.
