Notes found in old book names: Dennis, Bill & David PA. & KY.
Hello List,
I'm not related to the Braden family. I live in Harrison Co. IN. and stopped in an antique shop in Greenville, IN. near my home. I always look at old books to see if there is any family notes that may help others in their search for family.
In a stack of old music books, one old Hymn Book had a page and a bit that had penciled notes on a Braden family so I bought it. The name of the person who wrote these notes did not state his or her name. The following is word for word from the book. I put ___ for one word I couldn't make out but is a possible abv. of jun. for Junior but this is just a guess on my part.
From The Book:"
Look back as far as 1800 on the Philadelphia record to find the record of the Braden's ancestors and their wealth. Dennis Braden Jr. my father was born in 1852 his father Bill Braden ___ about 1816 and his father Dennis Braden Sr. was born about 1780 or 1786 and perhaps his father's name was Bill Braden and he had a brother by the the name of David and start in Hardin County to trace Braden ancestors, Hardin Co. was divided into Hardin & Larue Co.Ky."
End of notes..
I hope this may be of use to some of you.
