I am hoping to connect with persons that have knowledge of, or connect to Euella (F. Badbury) Wadleigh a.k.a. Ella B.Wadleigh of Oquawka,ILL. born at Levant,Maine on Dec.24,1842.
Father- Major William F.Bradbury of the old & prominent Bradbury Family of Bangor,Maine.
Mother ---- (Minot) Bradbury. Her father was Prof. William Minot a Prof. at Harvard College (Harvard University)at Cambridge,Mass.
"Ella" was married to Samuel Wadleigh of Oquawka,ILL. in 1862 at the Henderson Co. Courthouse at Oquawha,ILL.
They had 3 children Roy,Mary Ann & Mabel. They lived there in Oquawka until 1878 & moved to Burlington,Iowa at 809 North fourth Street until her death on Feb.6,1911.
"Ella" was survived by a daughter-Mary Ann (Wadleigh) Moir. A sister of Ella's- "Annie" Mrs Charles (Wadleigh) Finch of Buffalo,N.Y. A brother of "Ella's"- Mr. Fred M. Bradbury of Los Angeles,Cal. "Ella" was also survived by a grand daughter(Mildred Wadleigh Penick), that she raised after the death of her daughter Mabel (Wadleigh) Penick of Chariton,Iowa.
