Searching for the parents of William J. BRACK b. about 1826 in TN, died after 1880 in KY. He married Mary A. CREWS 20 September 1846 in Carroll Co., TN. It is possible that the family originated on Onslow Co., NC, and then moved to TN, possible Williamson Co., in the early 1800s. William J. BRACK was in Carroll Co., TN, by 1846 when he married Mary CREWS. It appears that the family moved to MO betwen 1857 and 1862. By 1864 the family had returned to TN where they stayed until 1870. The 1870 census shows the family in Ballard Co., KY, and the 1880 census shows the family in Graves Co., KY. William and Mary had the following known children:

Martha Jane (Pony) BRACK, born about 1847 in TN, married Paul A. CREWS 9 January 1867 in Weakley Co., TN, died 10 April 1906, Ballard Co., KY;

Susanne (Susan) BRACK, born 17 June 1847 in Weakley Co., TN, married Robert B. CREWS, died 11 June 1920 in Ballard Co., KY;

Elizabeth BRACK born about 1852 in TN;

James B. BRACK, born about 1855 in TN;

James (Robert Butler) BRACK, born 23 February 1856 in Carroll Co., TN, married Mary Ida CREWS 5 April 1887 in Ballard Co., KY, died 17 January 1923 in Ballard Co., KY;

Alfred Thomas BRACK, born 1862 in MO;

George W. BRACK born about 1864 in TN;

Marion F. BRACK born 1866 in TN; and

Elias L. BRACK born 1869 in TN or KY? married Lena O. OLIVER 14 September 1890 in Ballard Co., KY, died 22 January 1921 in Ballard Co., KY.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Janet
