My family is from Greenbrier, TN...and i am Lisa Bracey, my father was James Coy Bracey, his sister Faye Bracey, my great uncle is Clayton Bracey, all from that town...i now reside in Mt. Juliet, TN, close to Nashville...it is my understanding our name is French in origin...) there seems to be some confusion as to whether we are French or English .... the spelling i have heard was Bracy, Brassy, Brassie...i'll find out more and let you know...) i'm 40 yrs old btw...i have one brother, James Coy Bracey, Jr. in Dallas...and one other brother Stephen Deaux Walker...deceased...1 nephew, Steven's son, Christopher Bracey, and 2 neices from Steve, Jennifer and Shannon, both in Dallas, TX....also there is a Sonny Bracey, Andrea Bracey, Kelly and Brandon Bracey, all living near me in Nashville...we have a great Bracey reunion yearly here...will let you know when it is!
