My connection with the Bracey family is tangential: My great-grandmother was the sister of Alfred Dorsey Stanley, who married Cornelia Bracey in Hinds County, Mississippi, in 1868. Cornelia was the daughter of Augustus and Margaret Fitler Bracey. Dorsey (Alfred Dorsey Stanley) and Cornelia had seven children: Mary (who married Frank Tucker), Cornelia (who married Thomas Seay), Alfred (who married Bessie Harrison), Agnes (who married Otis Brown), Eva (who married Robert Steele), Arlean (who married Horace Harl), and Vivan (who married Luther Rimes).
Lots of these Bracey descendants (including Augustus J. Bracey, 1806-1891, and his wife Margaret, c1813-1885) are buried in Terry Cemetery and some in Old Byram Community Cemetery. I've put pictures of a good many of their tombstones on findagrave.com -- and will no doubt add more.
