My wife’s great-grandmother is Mary Ann Bozeman of Twiggs Co., Georgia, born in Georgia abt 1839. Mary married William W. Padgett in about 1858 and lived in Twiggs Co. most of her life. Her children included Stephen L. Padgett (b. 1858), William B. Padgett (b. 1862), Joe (or “Joel”) Padgett (b. 1864), Julia A. Padgett (b. 1867), and Lou Janice Padgett (b. 1875). Mary lived until at least 1900.
Her parents were William Wilks Bozeman, Sr. (born in South Carolina abt 1815) and his wife Julia Ann. Her brother was William Wilks Bozeman, Jr., born in Georgia about 1837.
Does anyone have any information about Mary Ann Bozeman or clues regarding the parents of William Wilks Bozeman, Sr. of South Carolina? I am happy to share information and documents regarding the Twiggs County Bozemans, including WWB Jr's Civil War records.
