Unknown #1 <1790 d<1800? Daughter? Unknown #2 <1790 d<1800? Daughter Unknown #3 c. 1790 1800 No Slaves Note: The census for Cheraws District was completed in May 1791. Note: The 1790 census and the 1800 census for the household of Peter Bozeman do not appear to be consistent. Two females who were present in the 1790 census do not appear in the 1800 census and one male who appears in the 1800 census does not appear in the 1790 census. There are a couple of possible explanations for these discrepancies. The male age 10-15 who appears in 1800 may have been counted as a female in 1790. Peter Bozeman and Sarah Brown were married December 28, 1786. At the time of the 1790 census, there were 4 females living in the household with Peter. One was almost certainly his wife. The other three are presumably young daughters who would have been born between 1787 and the time of the 1790 census. One of the three young females is almost certainly his daughter, Lucy. The 1800 census lists three daughters, all 0-9 years old. It is also possible that Sarah Brown had been previously married and brought two daughters with her from a previous marriage. These two older daughters could have been old enough to be married by the time of the 1800 census which could explain their disappearance. NOTE: Could My Polly be one of the unknown Daughters?????? All of my family is from Hartsville, Darlington and Mcbee surrounding areas. Probably 30- 50 miles apart.

NOTE: Looks like not much is known about this Peter Boseman that was in Cheraws District.

Lemuel is listed much farther down near the bottom of the sheet. John is not listed anywhere near the other three families. John and Peter are brothers. The relationship of Jesse and Lemuel is not known. NO Polly or Mary Here with this family...........

I think that it is possible that this entry is actually for Samuel Bozeman, of Bladen County, NC. Samuel is in Bladen County, NC in 1790 and is in Richmond County, NC in 1810. However, there is no known entry for Samuel in 1800 making it possible to speculate that Lemuel is actually Samuel. NOTE: Could My Polly be the unknown Daughter??????

But, I am not sure which children are Chapman's and which ones are Jesse's. Jesse Jordan Bozeman (born 29 Oct 1810) would be the son of Chapman. Frances would be a daughter of Jesse. I am not sure about the other children. Note: Chapman and James are listed on the same page with one entry between them. I believe that James, Chapman, and the deceased, Jesse, may have been brothers. James was the administrator of Jesse's estate. NOTE: NO Polly or Mary Here with this family...........

In fact, I believe that Sally and her children were listed with the family of Chapman Bozeman in the 1810 census.
