Looking for info on Elijah BOZE, b. 1816 in Smith Co. TN, m. Nancy PATY Jan 1838, d. 1878. One source states Elijah's mother as Catherine BOZE, daughter of Hardy BOZE, and his father as a BOULTON. If this is accurate, why did he go by his mother's name? Any info appreciated.
