EVA ELIZABETH GOBLE, the youngest daughter of CHARLES and ELIZABETH GOBLE, was born August l3, l88l, and died April l2, l924, aged 42 years, 7 months and 27 days. She was married to CLAUDE U. MERRITT, February 27, l90l. Three children: ELSIE, DOROTHY and CARL blessed their home. Her husband died in August, 1920. Since then she continued to live on the farm six miles south of Davis City. She was taken sick with Bright's disease about five weeks ago and seemed to be recovering, when death came suddenly and claimed her. During her sickness, she was at her mother's in Davis City, where she was cared for.

She became a member of the Baptist Church in young womanhood. About four years ago, she united with the Downey Church of Christ.

Besides the children, she leaves her mother, two sisters, MRS. NORA BOZARTH and MRS. HATTIE VENTLING, and one brother, OSCAR L, all of this vicinity.

The funeral services were conducted by Wm. Campbell at the Chapel of the Church of Christ in Davis City at 2:30 p.m., April l4, and the body laid to rest in the new cemetery beside that of her husband.

We take this means of expressing our thanks to the kind friends and neighbors who so kindly assisted us during the sickness and death of our daughter, sister and mother, MRS. EVA E. MERRITT.
