Hi Chris, Thanks for the offer! There is a strong connection between the Bozarth family and the Wilcox family. Joel Wilcox & his family came from Putnam Co, OH to OR in 1847, he and his wife died as soon as they arrived, and his children were parcelled out. son, Loammini appears on a document late in 1847 with Squire Bozarth. I wonder if they came on the same wagon train? Separately - the Bozarth family owned land next to the land of Joel Wilcox's nephew in Rice Co, KS. The most intriguing of all - After the 1906 earthquake in SF, my grandparents fled the city to go to Denver CO and stay with a detective Harry Burlew and his wife Florence Bozarth. Harry Burlew had always been so close to the nephew of Joel Wilcox of Rice Co, KS (who had migrated to Denver in the 1880's and was also named Joel), that they were not only in business together, worked for the police dept together, but also usually lived next door, or across the street, from one another. My grandfather, who fled to Denver, was the grandson of Thirza Wilcox Kimmis, the sister of Joel of Denver, and who had lived, also, in Rice Co. She lived with my grandfather's family in Denver until 1903. So, there is a connection, but I sure can't pin it down! Ellie Burch
