Hi Brian,

I noticed your post and the information that Allan Boynton gave you. I thought I'd add what the Averell, Averill, Avery Genealogy says on page 443. Referring to John, "He m. (Int. pub. Nov. 14, 1803) at New Milford, Anna Boynton (descendent of the Boyntons, either Wm. or John, of Massachusetts, and cousin of the Boyntons of Bangor, Me.); d. May 21, 1846 at Alton. He d. June 19, 1861, at Dover."

In your post on the Averill forum, you mentioned Benjamin Averill and Mary Hunter. The Genealogy, on page 311, says Benjamin married "Mary Hunter of Philadelphia, Penn.; the Int. of marriage was pub. at Pownalboro, that part now Alna, Me, and he was a resident of that town."
