I am just starting my search of my family, so I'm not very good at this yet,but I'll try. My ggrandfather was William Joseph Boyle. Oral family states that he was born Sept.17,1877 in Wapanucka, Okla. (Although I'm not certain Okla. was a state yet) Family states that he die Jan.2,1941 in Slaton, Texas. He married Mary Elizabeth(Saunders)Boyle-(born:Feb.1875, Merritt,Tex.)(Died:Jan.27,1937, Davidson, Okla.) These were my grandMothers parents. My grandFathers parents were Joseph Newton Travis(born:abt.1870-Tenn?) and ELLEN(BUTLER)Travis(born:abt1876_Tenn?) My grandparents were Sarah Lucille(Boyle)Travis(born:Jan.30,1905-around Caddo Mills or Ponder,Tex.)(Died:Nov.27,1984,Enid, Okla.) and Eugene Powell Travis(born:Dec.30,1901,Whiteright,Tex.)(Died:Mar.4,1964,Enid,Okla.) I am of the understanding that families often had what is called "traveling groups" and that they often married someone from in that group? Can you make a connection here? I have been at this computer for hours this week tring to find any info on the TRAVIS family. I have the more recent info but cannot go much further back than what I have given you. I an VERY interested to have the info that you may know re:the BOYLE family and am especially interested in what ever info that you could pass my way reguarding ELLEN BUTER.
