John W. Boyles - died Aug. 9, 1862 at Petersburg, Va.
Alexander Martin Boyles - died Jan. 30, 1863
at Goldsboro, NC.
Calvin H. Boyles - died Feb. 11, 1865 at Garrett
Station, Va.
James Haywood Boyles - died May 11, 1864 at
Spotsylvania Courthouse, Va.
Augustin Harmon Boyles died Oct. 28, 1862 at
Drewry's Bluff, Va.
Irvin Edward Boyles died Orange Courthouse, Va.
died - Aug. 10, 1863

The only daughter , Mary Ann Boyles, lost her
intended husband in the war. She never married.

Riley Robertson was the only son to come back.
He was a prisoner of war at Point Lookout, Maryland
He was held for several months after the war ended.

Another son, Wade Hamilton Boyles , was too young
to go to war.
