Searching for information on John BOYLE, b. 20 Feb 1775 Londonderry, No. IRE, d. 2 Feb 1814 Colchester, Essex Co., ONT, bur. Old Historic Colchester Cem., m. Rosanna McLEAN, b. 18 Nov 1780, MD, d. 7 Apr 1864, bur. next to John; 6 ch (all b. ONT): 1) Dr. James BOYLE, practiced medicine in Medicene, NY, m. twice & by his 1st wife had a son who died age 3 mos.; 2) Thomas; 3) Richard, b. 1805, d. 30 May 1861; 4) Susanna or Susan A., b. 1810 Essex Co., ONT, m. Jacob HUCKLEBERRY; 5) Elizabeth; 6) Mary. John BOYLE was a tailor and made uniforms for the British soldiers during the War of 1812. His tombstone reads: "In memory of our father John BOYLE and our mother, Rosanna. For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Londonderry, Ireland." Apparently, there are several published accounts of members of this family, such as probate actions, wills, pictures, and letters from James, and a family Bible.
