My husband has a reletive named James Boyle but he was born in Delrie, Scotland on June 3, 1813 according to cemetery records. They came over from Scotland when he was about four, with parents and at least 1 brother named John Thomas Boyle. You didn't say where he lived, James lived in Derby, Indiana, Perry County. Am still looking for his parents. They say his mother was a cousin of the Duke of Argyll, Archibald Campbell. I have no proof that this is so yet, don't even know his mothers name. I don't know if this is any help, contact me if it seems to lead somewhere. Good luck.
