update: John BOYLE did go to Manchester with his wife Mary and daughter Annie Maria. He died aged 40, April 22 1874 in Manchester, so he was born C. 1834. Mary was born around the same time C. 1833. Their daughter, Annie Maria BOYLE born C. 1863, gave her birthplace as Co. TYRONE, so they may all have been born there. In the 1881 census, they had a James BOYLE, age 72, living with them. He was listed as a 'lodger' and a 'cattle salesman' born C. 1809. Also living in the house is another lodger: Thomas BOYLE,( no relation ) age 18, A couple of years later Thomas BOYLE, born C. 1862, married Annie Maria BOYLE. This Thomas BOYLE gave his birthplace as Co. LEITRIM. His father attended the wedding. He was living elsewhere and was also named Thomas BOYLE. James BOYLE( b 1809) may have been the father of John BOYLE but strangely he is listed as 'married' but there is no mention of a wife. Perhaps she was still in Ireland?. Annie Maria(neeBOYLE)BOYLE and Thomas BOYLE, occ. Hog, cattle, salesman, had the following children. Perhaps their names(listed on the 1901 census) may give a clue to older ancestors: Mary Ann, born 1884 (Manchester) Margaret, born 1885 (Manchester) Thomas, born 1889 (Salford) Ann, born 1891 (Salford) Winnifred, born 1895 Notify Administrator about this message?
