Berrien CO., MI - Boyle/Rounds

After more digging, I have cleared some of the confusion. The family mausoleum is in Benton Harbor, MI in Berrien Co. My gggfather appears to have been named Christopher Stephen Boyle. He owned a mercantile store in Benton Harbor and was in business in the 1870s according to tobacco tax papers we have. A picture of the store shows C.S. Boyle and Sons so I expect there were more than just my ggfather, William. William may have been William C. rather than William F. as previously reported. William was married to Lillian May Rounds(d1924). She is also interred in Benton Harbor. A child probably named Wendell Rounds Boyle (d1897) is also interred in the mausoleum. Family history has a sailor/boat captain as either prior to CS or a close family member of. This individual worked the Great Lakes. I am no longer sure that Grace Edgecomb was the wife of C.S. so I must dig more.

My grandfather was Stephen Franklin Boyle d1964 in Oak Park, IL. His brother was Lloyd Fargo Boyle d~1955 in FL.

If any of this links with yours, please contact me.

Bill
