I ran across the following marriage in the Maine Marriages:
James Joseph Boyle to Anne Heffren, both of Portland, ME, on January 20, 1890. I am searching for family history information about my grandfather, Francis X. Heffernan, born in Ireland in 1863 and immigrated to New York around 1885. He had an older sister that immigrated shortly after he did, and she married and settled in Portland, Maine. All that I was told as a young child was that members of my Heffernan Family who lived in Savannah, GA used to visit them in Portland, and that her husband was a sea captain, and they had daughters whose first names started with the letter "P".
I am searching for her family descendants. Thank you for any assistance that you may be able to give me regarding the Boyle and Heffernan Families. My great-grandfather, Joseph Heffernan, died in Dublin, Ireland in 1890, and he was related to the Farrell Clan and the Gallacher Clan.
