I have an Ambrose Boyle in my line. Ambrose E. Boyle b. 1836 d.1898 m.Matilda C. Mays b.1850 d. 1909. Their children:
Edward
Andrew
Ambrose W. (My ggrandfather)
Thomas R.
Mary
Arthur Calvin
Emma
Fredrick W.
Margaret
Alice
Matilda

All I know about my g-g-grandfather Ambrose is that he came from Ireland via Canada. According to various family members he came to the US during the Civil War and fought on the Union side in someone else's place. For his services he was given $500.00 and US citizenship. He settled in Pennsylvania. Any new info would be wonderful. Possibly there is a connection.

Thanks Valerie
