Williams or Boleyn? Kilkenny Ireland

I believe that my gggreat-grandfather James Williams' ancestors last name may have been Boleyn (Boylan, Bolan, Bolen, Bolin...). My grandfather found a family tree chart in the New York Public Library titled "Boleyn, Now Williams" but I do not have a copy of it. The chart tells of a branch of the Boleyn family that changed their name to Williams sometime around the 1600's.
According to microfilm records for the Roman Catholic Parish of Clara, James Patrick Williams was married to a Ellen Brennan in February 1826. I do not have the names of James' parents but I believe he had two sisters and two brothers Margaret (married a Michael or James Phelan), Mary (married James Murphy), Christopher, and Joseph. Any information that could help me in my search to find my original family name would be greatly appreciated. A. Williams empyrean@mailcity.com
