The branch of Boykin in Waynesboro are from England cir 1670.And settled in what is currently Isle of Wight County, VA. ( Some are from Ukraine and chose a more acceptable English spelling, but that is a different people altogether).
The Waynesboro Boykin Family I can trace to my Grandfather Nathan L. Boykin and my Grandmother Ona Waller Boykin.
My father John L. Boykin was 14 years old when his mother died in a truck accident.Nathan remarried several times after that and one of the marriages produced my Father's half sister, Frances Boykin of which D Langess referred to in a previous posting.Nat also had cousins in Wayne County, one being Kennis (SP) Boykin, and many of them are still there. Our family moved to Arizona where I was born.frances lived with us briefly, and that is where D Langess' friend was given to a family in AZ according to my Mother.
Of the inquiry about Frances: I haven't been able to find her through my Holifield relatives in Waynesboro, but they think she is near Mobile, AL.
If you have any more information, I would welcome it.
Thank you, Tim Boykin.
