Sorry Courtney, I have nothing (except my childhood imagination) on the meaning. But I did want to let you know that Boyette, even though it seems so, is NOT french. (I know, I didn't believe it either.) Most Boyettes (Boyett, Boytt, etc.) originate from English/Scottish gaelic decent. I have an article that I had saved after it was posted on the BOYETT-L mailing list (thru Roots Web. I can copy this article and mail it to you,if you'd like. (I'll also do this for any one of you who ask.) Please be aware that I will cut and paste this into an e-mail, I will NOT send it as an attachment. If my letter has an attachment, DELETE it IMMEDIATELY, and then ask me to send it again because some fool added a VIRUS to it. My e-mail is: boyette@clarkston.com. *kusje* Von
