I was interested to see your posting dated 1/1/2001 where you state your g.g.grandfather was John Boyes b.circa 1820 was married to Hannah Eccles in 1856.
My g.grandfather John Boyes b.Westow 1835, died Pickering, 1909, retired farmer.He married a Hannah Eccles at Helmsley on 11/4/1856. The census show he was working as a Farm Labourer in 1871 at Langton. My grandfather's birth certificate (Joseph Barnabus Boyes, b.Langton) shows his mother as Hannah Boyes formerly Eccles). The death certificate for Hannah Boyes shows she died on 20/3/1920 aged 88 years, at Pickering.
I have more information on the Boyes of Langton if required.
