Saint Charles (Illinois) Review, June 13, 1879 Geneva Items Charley Boyes is bound to break his neck on that new store, before it is completed. The scaffolding gave way while he and M.A. Crocker were on it. Mr. Crocker fell to the ground but happily was uninjured, while Charley Boyes hung on to the edge of the roof until a ladder was brought to his assistance. It was a narrow escape for both gentlemen. ---------- This newspaper item posted as a courtesy. I am not related to nor researching this family and have no further information.
