Iam a member of the Boyes family in South Africa who were intoduced to this country in 1824 when Cptn Robert Nairne Boyes of the 55th Westmorland Regiment was posted to the Cape. Our family originated in Kent UK and Ihave a history on the family called "Under Thirty-Seven Kings"written by Lillian Berhand Boys in 1927. In it she mentions a branch of the Boys/Boyes in Onterior Canada. It is interesting to learn that the Boyes are so widespread.
