Anita

I have now traced more of the family tree of the Boys family from Mellor.

The furthest I can get back to is a John Boys b. 1785 in Balderstone, Nr. Blackburn. He was a handloom weaver living in Mellor.
He was married to Agnes Shaw and had six children all born in Mellor:
James Boys 1812
Henry Boys 1815
Cornelius Boys 1817
John Boys 1821
Mary Boys 1824
William Boys 1826

It is this Henry(1815)that was the father of Elias.

Get in touch via my email and I can send you the whole tree. Other relatives from this tree have been in contact from England and Canada.

Jane
