My husband has a Robert Boyes family who came from Wombleton,Yorkshire. Robert m Frances Douglas in the Kirkby Moorside Church, 1823. Children (all born in Yorkshire): Elizabeth, Frances, Mary, Ann, John. Immigrated sometime after 1830, lived in Ontario, Clayton NY. Frances m Sanford Page Griffin, lived in Hastings Co ONT, Mary m George Washington Hill, lived in Clayton. Letters have survived mentioning Walter, James and Frank Boyes. I dont know who they are. Mary spelled the name Boyce. My husband is descended from both Mary and Frances. Love to share what I have. Donna
