My husband recently recorded information from a plaque in this cemetery. The marker was apparently erected by the family, but I hope this will help someone else who may be researching this family. Ephraim Boyd (E.L.) 1810-1874 Martha Boyd (wife of Ephraim) 1810-1860 Sarah Taylor (Perryman) Boyd 1843-1872 (appears to be a second wife of the above Ephraim Boyd) William Boyd 1843-1874 Ellen Boyd 1835-1870 (wife of William...1870 census shows both born circa 1837) Martha Jane (Boyd) Brown 1860-1917 (William and Ellen's dtr.) Sarah Kate Boyd 1868-1870 (another child of William & Ellen) Joseph Boyd 1870-1870 (ditto) Joseph Boyd 1837-1873 (son of Ephraim) Minta Jane (Long) Boyd 1835-1870 (wife of Joseph) Ephraim Boyd 1864-1870 (son of Joseph & Jane) Elizabeth Boyd 1844-NDD Newton Boyd 1853-1864 (son of Ephraim and Martha) Francis Boyd 1870-1870 (Ephraim's baby) What information is in parentheses is from me--matching censuses to dates from the cemetery. The Smith county historical society is interested in the old cemeteries and the history of the family. I'd be happy to hear from any Boyd family members. Sara Notify Administrator about this message?
