Loren,
Thank you for your help. Fannie was 3 and Eula was 5 in 1900.They were living in Rockdale, Randolph County.Fannie was born Jan.10,1897, died Nov.4, 1988,in Ashland, Clay County Al. Her full name was Fannie Rebecca Smith.(Her last name was smith on the 1900 census). She then was adopted by Robert L. and Lula Boyd. She married Ezra Russell White.Their children were a daughter Erma, son's Robert Thomas White(my father),James Howard White, and Clyde White. They had 2 son's who died.Russell White and Grady White.I am not sure if they died as infants or if they were stillborn. My grandparents were divorced and Fannie then married James Culligan. They had 2 son's Francis William Culligan and Patrick Wiley Culligan.
The White's I have been able to trace back to my ggg grandfather James Tinsley White, born 1817 in Ga. He married Polly Nix daughter of Jeremiah Nix and Louisa Webb.
My Great grandmother is the one I am having such problems finding. As I said she was I have been told full blooded Cherokee Indian.I found in the Alabama marriage records that she married James Levi Hull June 6, 1899 in Randolph County. Her name was listed as Lizzie Smith.I don't know if she was married before,or if that was her maiden name. And I found a cemetary listing for Pearl Hull Daughter of James Levi Hull and Lizzie Boyd.So now I am wondering if Lizzie's maiden name actually was Boyd. However I haven't found any thing about the Boyd's being Cherokee indian. This is very frustrating.Lizzie lived in Randolph county Al.for years and then in her later years moved to Clay County Al. Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much for your reply.
