according to an article I have
'Families of Scotland' "The Boyds of Kilmarnock" William was the 4th Earl of Kilmarnock. He married Lady Ann Livingston, Heiress of the Earl of Livingston and Callendar.
They had 2 sons ,Eldest was James , the second was Charles.
William was beheaded 8/18/1746 at the age of 42.
maybe this will give you a direction to look. William was supposed to have been the most famous and there are many articles about this man and time in history
