There are several book in the research library on the Scottish and how they got to Ireland as well as when they left. Rev. Martin brought five shiploads of Conenators (Presbyterians) to Charleston S.C. in 1772. A book by Leland Summer on Newberry Co., S.C. list several of these families. The placememt of Protestants into Ireland about 1610 is what the IRA and Ulster Defence League are fighting about.
