James (DuBois) Boyce b:abt 1832 in London,England.He married and divorced and fathered abt 12 children in England. His brother William Dubois was supposedly Lord Mayor of Dublin , Ireland and his sisters ladies in waiting at the time of Queen Victoria.1 of his daughters was an opera singer in England.
James Dubois changed his name to Boyce when moving to America in approx 1870 he brought one of his sons I believe Thomas and James married Emma MARTIN.
He and Emma lived in Chicago , IL and had 5 daughters Elizabeth b:abt1873 ,Helen,Ellen,Emily b:1886 and my Great grandmother Josephine b: Feb.17,1888.
I recently recieved a 1910 Denver Co directory in which James Boyce was listed living age78 alone (daughters lived down the road) he was listed as widowed . I am assuming that James Boyce died in Denver Colorado given his age at the time of the directory. Does anyone have information on this James Boyce or connected to this Boyce line ?
