Thanks for the info. I have since managed to get my hands on a document about the Boyce Irish Roots. It seems that in Ireland there are two "strains". English Norman settlers being one, Gaelic-Irish being the other. A similar sounding Gaelic name Ó Buí was anglicized as Boyce.
