My family is from the Wilmington/Newport area. My grandfather was Charles Frank Boyce, born around 1896. That's about as far as I can go back. I do remember his mother, who lived into her 90's in Wilmington - she died in the late 60s.
My grandfather married Elizabeth Layman in the 1920s. He helped run the AC Layman Machine Company during the Depression and after. I believe he had a brother or a nephew named William Boyce.
